Before I started my business, I was in a highly demanding corporate job, battling with migraines and insomnia. It took being hospitalized for 11 days with stress and burnout to give me a massive wake-up call. I realized that if I didn't make some serious changes, I was going to burn out completely.

My longing for freedom—to dictate my own schedule, attend every sporting event and school play for my 3 children and 7 grandchildren without asking for permission—was the catalyst for my journey into entrepreneurship.
